Good afternoon,
Picked Robbie up at 11am today and she came barrelling out of the school doors into my arms with a HUGE smile. She met a new friend Hannah (she thinks!) and talked the whole way home. Had a wonderful time. That said, she did ask me several hours later to please not sign her up for school once Senior Kindergarten is finished...
Picked Abby up at 3:05pm amidst total parental chaos. Video cameras, cameras, waves, babies, grandparents...wow. Was crazy. Anyway, Abby came out bright eyed and smiling and LOVED her first day. She also met a new friend - Caitlin - who was in a different class last year. She knows all the girsl in her class as most of them were from Ms. Romeo's class or soccer so she was happy, happy. Max is also in her class and that was the only boy she wanted (she told me that last night). She described her classroom - there's a quiet place, no assigned desks near as I can tell, cubby holes, hooks etc. She saw Rachael and Emily at recess and lunch and that was good. Our neighbour, Thomas had Mr. Allen last year and Christina and Costa couldn't say enough great things about him. Mr. Allen also told Abby that he saw her mommy do a triathlon this summer so she thought that was pretty cool!!
I walked Abby to the park to meet Robin and Alona and they compared stories. Abby asked Robin if she made any new friends and Robin told her about Hannah.
Abby also informed me that I had a lot of homework to complete this evening - about 10 medical forms etc. She was right!
Both chatterboxes and happy. What more can you ask for?
