Kids of Steel

Sunday morning was the girl's first Tri of the year (Mississauaga). Robin was in the 3-5 year old category (classic - most kids had training wheels, some had trikes!) which was a 20 meter swim, 500 meter bike and 100 meter run. She did really well, smiling during the whole swim, gunning her little legs on the bike and sprinting to the finish. Of course, she got a medal (the same one everybody got!). She ended up finishing in 33rd out of 105 kids (I can't believe they have timing chips - classic), and 18th among girls in just 6 minutes and 43 seconds... awesome!

Abby was next up with a 25 meter swim, 1.5km hilly bike ride and a 500 meter run which included a steep hill. Abby ended up 8th out of 106 kids at a time of 13:43, and 3rd for girls in the 6-7 year old category. Way to go girls! Here's Robin with her medal, waiting for Abby's swim to start.
