For the third year in a row, the plan was to do the Becel Ride for Heart today. For the first time, however, I wouldn't be doing it at the front of the ride with my cycling buddies, but at a more relaxed pace(!) with family and friends.
We drove down and parked just West of the Ex and hooked up a trail-a-bike behind my bike and trailer behind Beth's. The kids took turns throughout the ride - I could feel the little engines pushing on the pedals, and we flew up and down the closed-for-the-day Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway.
In all, we covered about 35km, with the plan next year to have the girls both ride the whole distance. This is a great event, for a great cause that was definitely more fun as a family affair. Here are the girls with Linda and Gillian.
